Some
ICF programming files for W3OI Local Area
If you have the Icom
Programming software for you radio, you can download the ICF files
below to speed up your programming.
These files have the correct parameters for use
of the W3OI Dstar repeater, along with some of the other nearby
Dstar repeaters.
In addition, most of the VHF and UHF regular
Analog repeaters for this area are also included.
To Use these files:
1) Load these ICF files into your program.
2) Put in your own FCC callsign into the MyCall
field.
3) Then enter any message into the message
fields.
4) Then, you may want to add or remove some of
the analog repeaters, or change the name that is displayed on the
screen to something you would rather see. For example, at the
moment for the 146.700 analog repeater, the display name is DLARC --
you may want it to read W3OK... You may also want to come up
with your own memory bank setup instead of what is now in these
files.
5) Once you have made the changes do a
"Save As" and give it a name that you prefer.

the PC and radio. When it loads you will see there are two circular
red arrows on an icon button near the top of the RS-91/RS-92 Screen.
Do not do anything
while these are colored Red (the program is reading
all your radio information) --- wait until they turn to a Black
color -- this may take two or three minutes --Once they are Black, now go to the top File
menu, click "Open" and load the file you saved after
editing it.
D) As the file is opening you will get a message
about saving changes -- click "No".
E) Next you will get a message asking if you want
to overwrite the Transceiver data -- Click "Yes"
F) Those two arrows on the button near the top of
